About Ayanavaram

A neighbourhood that knows its doctors

Ayanavaram and Perambur share more than a boundary. Many families here have lived in the same streets for two or three generations, and the relationship between a neighbourhood and its trusted medical care tends to build over decades. That's part of why so many people from Ayanavaram have been coming to Aadithya Eye Care since its earliest years.

The area has an older resident base alongside younger working families. Conditions like cataract, glaucoma and macular change are things the older generation deals with. Younger residents come for LASIK screenings, contact lens fittings or bringing their children for the first eye check before school. It's a wide range, and we're used to it.

What Ayanavaram patients consistently tell us is that they don't want to travel far for specialist care, and that they value a doctor who recognises them at each visit. Being ten minutes from Ayanavaram, and having the same team here since 1999, means we can offer exactly that.

What we see from Ayanavaram

The most common reasons patients visit us

Ayanavaram's resident mix means we see a broader range of presentations than from some other areas. Here are the conditions that bring people from Ayanavaram to our door most often.

Cataract surgery

Many senior Ayanavaram residents come to us after noticing cloudy vision, difficulty reading or glare at night. We do a full biometry scan and slit-lamp assessment to confirm the diagnosis and the appropriate lens power before any surgery is planned. Cataract surgery details.

Glaucoma screening and follow-up

Ayanavaram patients with a family history of glaucoma, or those over 40 with no recent pressure check, are strongly encouraged to come in. We do both the IOP measurement and a visual field test in the same visit. About glaucoma care.

Children's eye checks

Parents from Ayanavaram bring children to us for first eye tests before school, squint evaluation, and management of lazy eye. Catching these problems before age 7 or 8 gives the best outcomes, and we make children feel at ease during the examination. Paediatric eye services.

Dry eye and corneal issues

Persistent dry eyes, burning, redness and the sensation of something in the eye are common complaints we hear from Ayanavaram working adults, particularly those with long commutes and air-conditioned offices. We diagnose the cause and tailor the treatment rather than prescribing drops blindly. Dry eye treatment.
